Combat Veterans Alliance
The Combat Veterans Alliance is a wellness group responsible for aiding in the mental status of military veterans and allow them the personalized support they need. The goal behind this project was a chance for the CVA to rebrand and take on a new face for their company. By doing so, the CVA hoped to attract new members, and increase the positive and warm feeling associated with the group.

The Process
When I began brainstorming, the way I started was by first considering what the Combat Veterans Alliance stood for, and what approach they used to help find individuals in need. The central idea that kept revolving around me was a strong sense of unity and togetherness. With this theme in mind, I began the actual design by creating comps centered around a “together” feel. I approached each comp with a different angle - the first comp featuring connected lettering to demonstrate the theme. The second comp introduces more presence of graphic imagery, which is demonstrated by 3 interlocking hearts made to look like people. The third comp takes a more simplified approach - 2 chain links interlocked to stay consistent with the theme. Each comp has the name listed below the logo.

The Final Results
Between the three comps showcased above, the final logo chosen was the example with the interlocked hearts made to look like people. The colors chosen in this logo are the official colors of the organization, and were formatted in such a way to break the logo up and demonstrate a more fluid design. The final logo features a black and white, solid, and gradient version. The secondary horizontal logo has the same graphic imagery as the primary, except compacted and formatted at the left, with the CVA name written out beside it.

Mockups and Brochure
Shown above are both a brochure and mockups, created for the purpose of spreading awareness about the Combat Veterans Alliance. The brochure is trifold, with each panel inside providing information on the purpose of the group, and each panel outside unfolding into a bigger picture. At the end of the brochure is the primary logo, and it is also on the reverse side at the bottom righthand corner. The mockups featured show the primary CVA logo on both a t-shirt, and a coffee mug.
